KeenSpark Studio

Questions worth asking before you playtest.

Do I need a finished game?

No. Beginner courses welcome rough ideas, notes, or a single design question. Several lessons begin with a small paper experiment.

Which course level should I choose?

Beginner courses establish vocabulary and process, intermediate courses assume a playable concept, and advanced courses focus on tuning or professional preparation.

Are the courses self-paced?

Formats vary. Self-paced courses are flexible, while workshops and mentored courses use a suggested weekly rhythm.

What materials will I need?

Paper, index cards, pencils, tokens, and ordinary household objects are enough for most early prototypes.

Do you teach digital game development?

Our catalog focuses on physical tabletop design, though many principles transfer to digital systems.

How do you approach accessibility?

We treat accessibility as an ongoing design practice involving language, component choices, sensory considerations, and flexible options.

Can I save courses for later?

Yes. Use Follow in the catalog. Saved course IDs stay in your browser and appear on the Fallows page.

Can KeenSpark review my prototype?

Send a message through Contact with your design stage and question. We will explain whether a conversation or course is the best fit.
